CSK To Carry Out Census
The Computer
Society of Kenya will carry out the inaugural annual census of ICT
experts and professionals during the month of May 2008. The census will
seek to, inter alia:
- Establish
the human resource capacities of the country in different
categories of ICT expertise
- Establish
trends in ICT training, qualification, and continuous professional
development
- Help
plan for future ICT human resource needs of the country
- Establish
compensation levels and trends.

National IT Professional Forum in September
The
national IT Professional Forum will this year be held over 2 days from
Thursday September 25th to Friday September 26th
2008 at the Safari Park Hotel. The meeting will involve
all IT Professionals and Experts and seeks this year to strengthen
professionalism including seeking statutory provisions and
establishment of an official registration Board for the IT
profession.

Plans Advanced for IT Congress in Kuala Lumpur
This year’s World Congress on IT will be held in Kuala Lumpur May 18 – May 22, 2008. The CSK
is planning to send a large delegation to this meeting. There is an
exciting program for the conference, with world reknown speakers. We
will also arrange to visit the futuristic cities of Cyberjaya nad
Putrajaya as well as tour Kuala Lumpur. Do not miss this opportunity to
